Serena Supplee
Serena’s love affair with the awe-inspiring landscapes of the Colorado Plateau began when she first saw it as a teenager. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at Northern Arizona University, and spent the next 10 years working as a river guide on the Colorado, Green, and San Juan Rivers. Today she continues to row her boat and follow her heart down rivers.
A spectacular selection of original paintings and giclée prints of Serena’s art can be found alongside works in progress at her Moab studio by appointment. Over the years, she has also created a collection of geometric landscape paintings which have been woven into rugs and baskets by Navajo weavers. Serena’s artwork may be most recognized from the more than 100 images she has published as notecards since 1983.
In the spring of 2018 Serena's paintings were celebrated by the Museum of Northern Arizona which hosted a joint exhibition, Confluence of Color, displaying of her work alongside the glass art of fellow artist of the Colorado Plateau and long-time friend, George Averbeck.
