Teresa Michael has been creating and refining her pieces of art for decades. Very artistic at an early age, she was encouraged to experiment with a lot of mediums. Her drive to learn, be curious and explore was never ending.
Born and raised in Michigan exposed her to the extreme seasons and its beauty. Traveling to many places in our country and abroad she has experienced cultural settings and diverse beauty. Scuba diving has been the most impactful on her glass fusion. Drawing from the ocean wildlife, colors and terrain. She is fascinated with natural structure, texture, vivid color, abstract form, and the light that nature displays which is incorporated in her glass fusion pieces.
As a practicing doctor of chiropractic for more than 40 years in Flagstaff, AZ, she is also a professional artist with an eye for detail and precision. Over the years, she has used her art as a way to give back to family, friends and her community. Finding sanctuary in her art, helps her to recharge from the demanding life of a doctor.
Her style has quickly processed into a fascinating collection featuring one of a kind pieces using non-conventional techniques and processes, many of which she has developed.
“I see ideas all around me…I am constantly bombarded by them… I can’t seem to stop the ideas… I am addicted to glass fusion!”
