Pam Gemin - Patsy O's Vintage Inspired Jewelry
Location: Flagstaff, Arizona
“My mother, Patsy O'Connor, loved collecting cool vintage items from jewelry to kitchen ware. I started making jewelry incorporating pieces of her vast collection. I have learned that the process is virtually the same for both writing and designing--imagine, make, revise, and repeat. And most importantly, share.” – Pamela Gemin
Before moving to Flagstaff in 2013, Pamela Gemin (Patsy O’s) was Rosebush Professor of English at University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, where she taught creative writing for twelve years. She has authored/edited five books, three of which have been featured on National Public Radio, and has given readings of her work across the country. She started her second career in jewelry design ten years ago, taking classes with Jess Lincoln at Vintaj Studios and at shows in Milwaukee and Tucson, where she learned techniques in patina, torch enameling, and resin. She also enjoys working in fiber and mixed media and has taken several classes with polymer clay artist Laurie Mika. A lover of pine forests and warm colors, she finds Flagstaff the ideal place to live and create.
