Over fifty years ago in July 1969, the Apollo 11 mission landed at its destination and Neil Armstrong took the first steps on the moon. Glass artist George G. Averbeck celebrates this lunar legacy in a narrative and whimsical way with his handblown glass moons, created in the first International Dark Skies City.
